Ty Gibbs: Wins Food City 500
Gibbs won the Food City 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Kyle Larson and Ryan Blaney would dominate most of the afternoon at the Bristol oval. However, a late caution would throw everyone a major curve ball. A handful of drivers would opt to not pit, including Gibbs and the No. 54 team. He would inherit the lead down the stretch and never surrender it. Gibbs would have to outlast one more caution and overtime restart to capture the victory. It was his first-career win in his 131st-career Cup Series start.
