Carson Hocevar: Grabs Texas Pole
Hocevar won the pole for the Wurth 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 191.340 mph.
Analysis:
The Spire Motorsports youngster would be very impressive in this pole qualifying session at Texas. Hocevar would advance into the final round and post a monster lap of over 191 mph to beat out Daniel Suarez for pole position. It was his first pole of the season and second of his Cup Series career. Hocevar looks like a Top-5 threat for Sunday's Wurth 400.
