Chris Buescher: Fifth-Place in Wurth 400
Buescher finished fifth in the Wurth 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
The Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing driver started third on the grid after a strong qualifying effort. Buescher would race in-and-out of the Top 10 at times during this 400-mile battle. The No. 17 Ford would improve down the stretch and he'd eventually crack the Top 5. The final caution of the day gave him a choice on pit strategy and Buescher would opt to stay out on old tires for the final restart. He'd challenge for the win but ultimately hang onto fifth-place by the checkered flag. It was his first-career Top 10 at Texas Motor Speedway.
