Daniel Suárez: Wins Coca-Cola 600
Suarez won the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday night.
Analysis:
Suarez would start 14th on the grid and battle among the Top 15 most of the night at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Rain showers and lightning delays would impact this race late in the running. Suarez and the No. 7 Chevrolet team would have the perfect strategy in place. He would come in and take 2 tires during the final stop of the night to get out front. Suarez would lead the final 17 laps and hold off very fast cars before the final rain shower of the night would bring out the red flag. The late hour would compel NASCAR to call the race complete and declare Suarez the winner. It was his first victory of the season and third of his career.
