Jones finished second in the FireKeepers Casino 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Much like Denny Hamlin, Jones would have to give up his 10th-place starting spot and start from the rear of the field. The LEGACY Motor Club driver would patiently work his way through the field in the opening two stages. Jones would get past Daniel Suarez at the end of stage 2 to finish second in that segment. He would battle among the leaders down the stretch and secure an impressive runner-up finish at the checkered flag.
