Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Bell suffered a fractured left wrist in an accident during Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.
Analysis:
Bell suffered one of the hardest impacts of the Next Gen car era Sunday at Michigan on lap 148. It would come with an associated cost. Bell would be evaluated and released from the infield care center with a fractured wrist. He was seen afterward wearing a wrap and splint. However, Bell has been cleared to race this weekend at Pocono Raceway. The impact to his driving ability is still up in the air, but 400-miles of racing at Pocono with a fractured wrist seem very daunting.
