Ryan Blaney: Wins 1000Bulbs.com 500
Blaney won the 1000Bulbs.com 500 at Talladega Superspeedway Monday afternoon.
Analysis:
Persistent rain would halt the action at lap 57 Sunday afternoon, but NASCAR would postpone and pick up the action Monday at Talladega. Blaney would lead 35 total laps for the day, but it would be his work late in the race that would count the most. A major accident with 6 laps to go would set up a green-white-checkered finish. Blaney would hold off Ryan Newman in a door-to-door dash to the finish line by just .007 seconds. It was the Penske Racing driver's first win of the season and third-career victory. Blaney gets an automatic seed in the next round of the Chase as a result.
