Ricky Stenhouse Jr.: Crew Chief Named
JTG Daugherty Racing announced the official driver, car number and crew chief lineup for the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season. Stenhouse Jr. will take over the No. 47 Chevrolet, adding crew chief Brian Pattie to the organization. Ryan Preece will be at the helm of the No. 37 Chevrolet with crew chief Trent Owens, JTG Daugherty Racing PR reports.
Analysis:
Stenhouse will be paired with veteran chief Pattie in the No. 47 Chevrolet for the 2020 season. The duo spent the past three seasons paired at Roush Fenway Racing in the No. 17 Ford, so chemistry and communication is already well-established. Pattie has 16 seasons of experience and has guided three different drivers to six victories, two of those with Stenhouse. This "plug and play" scenario bodes well for the No. 47 team.
