Aric Almirola: Fifth-Place at Bristol
Almirola finished fifth in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday night.
Analysis:
The Stewart Haas Racing veteran shook off some historical Bristol demons and turned in a great performance Saturday night in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race. Almirola would race in the mid-teens for the first half of the race, but he would kick it in high gear in stage 2 and finish seventh-place in that segment. Stage 3 would see him work inside the Top 5 and get around Clint Bowyer in the closing laps to secure fifth-place. It was Almirola's sixth Top 5 of the season and just second-career Top 5 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
