Ukraine-Switzerland match called off due to COVID-19 concerns
Tuesday's Nations League match between Ukraine and Switzerland has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns, the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) announced.
The UAF has been ordered by local authorities to place its entire squad into quarantine after three players tested positive Monday.
"UEFA informed the Ukrainian Football Association that 'due to the competent decision of the Department of Health of the Canton of Lucerne to quarantine the entire delegation of the national team of Ukraine, the UEFA League of Nations match (involving) Switzerland (and) Ukraine can not take place,'" the UAF said in a statement.
It has yet to be determined if the match will be rescheduled.
Norway's Nations League contest against Romania on Tuesday was postponed this past weekend. The Norwegian Football Federation prohibited the national team from training due to a positive COVID-19 test.
