Alec Burks set to return following 3 month absence
Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports
After sitting out since December with a broken fibula, Utah Jazz swingman Alec Burks is set to return Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Before his injury, Burks averaged 14.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 38.7 percent from deep as a sixth man. His return should give the Jazz a much-needed offensive boost.
Entering Friday's games, the Jazz hold a precarious 1.5-game edge over the Houston Rockets for the eighth playoff spot in the West.
Fortunately, with the Clippers resting most of their core pieces, the Jazz have a golden opportunity to pad that lead.
