Oladipo suffers concussion, requires stitches following elbow from Whiteside
Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo's face was left a mangled mess after taking an elbow from Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside on Friday night.
Oladipo required six stitches to close the wound above his left eye, and did not return to the game after playing 28 minutes of action. He finished with 13 points and four rebounds on 6-of-12 shooting as the Magic pulled out a 112-109 victory.
Following the win, the team announced that Oladipo had been diagnosed with a concussion, and that he would need to pass the league's mandatory concussion protocol before being cleared to return.
This is the second concussion of the season for the third-year pro. His first came back in November after he accidentally collided with teammate Dewayne Dedmon in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Orlando has just three games remaining on its schedule, meaning Oladipo's season could very well be over.
