Memphis Grizzlies guard Lance Stephenson could have found a silver lining in what's been a trying season. Instead he found the side of the backboard.
With a chance to spoil the Golden State Warriors' bid at an NBA record-setting, 73-win season, Stephenson had two shots to spoil history.
Down by one with eight seconds remaining, Stephenson got off a pair of shots in traffic, but came up empty-handed on both occasions. His second shot landed out of bounds with the Warriors playing out the final seconds for the win.
Golden State erased a 10-point deficit in the final 6:30 for its 71st victory of the season and remain one win away from tying the 1995-96 Bulls single-season wins record.
