Kobe: 'No one' beats me 1-on-1 in practice

Derick E. Hingle / USA TODAY Sports

Kobe Bryant's hyper-competitive nature is one of the NBA's worst kept secrets, with a handful of stories surfacing throughout his career about his cutthroat approach with teammates.

It turns out, not only is Kobe the most competitive on the floor, but he also never loses. Following Monday's defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Bryant appeared confused and slightly disgusted when asked which teammates beat him one-on-one in practice.

"No one. That's what I do."

The 37-year-old added that if anyone was capable of defeating him, they retired years ago.

"If there’s going to be a player that beat me, he retired on that last shot in Utah in ’98," Kobe added, referring to Michael Jordan.
