Staples Center transformed into Kobe monument

The Los Angeles Lakers are rolling out all the stops both inside and out for Kobe Bryant's final game at Staples Center on Wednesday.

The team placed banners along the exterior walls of the arena in appreciation of the 20-year veteran, while the streets outside featured purple and yellow balloons.

There was also a wall of appreciation, where fans could write messages to the five-time NBA champion.

Inside the arena, all fans in attendance will receive a specialized Kobe shirt. Not bad, considering the cheapest tickets on the secondary market were going for $750 hours before tipoff.
