After relieving George Karl of his duties Thursday, the Sacramento Kings are in the market for a new head coach.
One name that could be on their list of candidates is Indiana Pacers assistant coach Nate McMillan, ESPN's Marc Stein reports, citing league coaching sources.
McMillan last served as head coach for the Portland Trail Blazers, leading the squad to a 266-269 record over seven seasons from 2005-12. McMillan's spent two of the last three seasons with the Pacers.
Since this marks the first time a Kings general manager has been given power to hire a coach under team owner Vivek Ranadive, Stein reports that Vlade Divac will "launch a broad, deliberate coaching search" for Karl's replacement.
