MRI comes back clean on Curry's right ankle

Stephen Curry underwent an MRI on his right ankle Tuesday that "did not reveal anything of concern," the Golden State Warriors announced in a statement.
The MRI was a significant development after Curry missed Game 2 of the Golden State Warriors' first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets. The reigning NBA MVP attempted to warm up before the contest, but was then ruled out of a postseason game for the first time in his career.
The specifics of Curry's injury have been shrouded in mystery, and coach Steve Kerr said after winning Monday's game that it may be affecting both his ankle and foot.
"I don't know. Honestly," he told reporters. "It's both. I mean, I'm not sure I know the difference. It's the back of his foot, it's the ankle, it's something down there."
Curry has been upbeat about returning to action in Game 3, but the increasing storyline surrounding his ankle has put fear into many fans that he may be dealing with similar problems he faced four years ago, when he underwent surgery on his right ankle.
He is listed as questionable for the game Thursday.
