Warriors' Kerr named NBA Coach of the Year
The accolades continue to roll in for Steve Kerr.
After helping lead the Golden State Warriors to an NBA single-season record 73 wins, Kerr was named the Coach of the Year on Tuesday.

Kerr takes home the honors despite missing the first 43 games of the season due to complications following back surgery. After returning to the bench, Kerr was named NBA Coach of the Month three times, becoming the first in Warriors history to do so.
Warriors interim head coach Luke Walton, who took over during Kerr's absence, received one second- and two third-place votes.
It's the first time the 50-year-old Kerr has won the award. He finished second in voting last year behind Mike Budenholzer of the Atlanta Hawks.
Kerr, who joins Don Nelson and Alex Hannum as the only Warriors head coaches to earn the distinction, is expected to receive the hardware Wednesday prior to Game 5 against the Houston Rockets.
In two seasons at the helm in Oakland, Kerr boasts a 140-24 record and helped the Warriors win an NBA title.
