NBA officials find no evidence of Jeremy Lin being disadvantaged
The NBA officials reviewed the tape, and have found no evidence of Charlotte Hornets guard Jeremy Lin being disadvantaged.
In a press release, officials cited that Lin's case was not unique. Lin drove 1,537 times over the past three seasons and did not suffer a single flagrant foul, but that pales in comparison to the likes of Reggie Jackson (2,031 drives), Tony Parker (1,974), Tyreke Evans (1,969), Ty Lawson (1,891), Kyrie Irving (1,649), or Victor Oladipo (1,544), who also didn't suffer flagrant fouls.
Officials went on to cite that Lin has drawn common fouls at the seventh-highest rate among players with more than 1,500 drives over the past three seasons.
The release came in response to a YouTube video that highlighted several questionable fouls that went uncalled against Lin. The video garnered over 1.2 million views since being released two weeks ago, and the New York Times even interviewed Hsiu-Chen Kuei, who put together the tape.
Lin, the only Asian-American guard in the league, acknowledged and thanked Kuei for amassing the compilation.
“I’m just psyched that the fans are trying to do something about it and trying to push the league to at least review some of the stuff,” Lin said.
