Report: Pelicans' Demps 'definitely coming back' as GM
Despite going just 30-52 in 2015-16, the New Orleans Pelicans don't appear to be making any major personnel changes to their front office.
Team vice president and general manager Dell Demps is "definitely coming back" for next season, a league source told John Reid of NOLA.com.
Since Demps took over in 2010, New Orleans has reached the postseason just twice and has never gotten past the first round.
"I feel great about my job," Demps said. "I come to work every day, and I feel great about it. Obviously we're not happy where we are, but we are going to figure this thing out, and we're going to get through it."
While the Pelicans disappointed this season, their future looks relatively bright, possessing the sixth-best odds of landing the No. 1 pick in this year's draft.
Demps will reportedly meet the media on Monday to announce his return.
