Mavs' Anderson elbows Westbrook in chin
The Dallas Mavericks' 2015-16 campaign came to an end with a Game 5 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday evening. Nonetheless, rookie Justin Anderson's actions in this heated matchup may lead to some consequences from the league which could follow him to next season.
With a number of players on both teams scurrying on the ground for the ball, Anderson leaped into the fray and delivered an elbow shot to the chin and neck of Thunder All-Star Russell Westbrook.
It's difficult to say whether Anderson's elbow was deliberate, but considering how physical the series had been at times, it very well could have been. Then again, the 22-year-old could have just been off-balance and landed awkwardly.
Regardless of how it happened, it's a video the NBA will need to take a second look at to determine whether or not it's a punishable offense.
