No measure of individual or surprising postseason success will help Damian Lillard forget being an All-Star snub this season, and he subtly reminded reporters of that after Wednesday's Game 5 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
"Neither team had an All-Star out there," Lillard said of the Clippers and his Portland Trail Blazers, as Los Angeles marches on without the injured duo of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
Lillard's tongue-in-cheek remark was in response to a question about the Blazers no longer being the underdogs in the series, which they now lead 3-2 heading back to Portland.
