Carmelo believes he's a better scorer than Curry, LeBron
Like all great scorers, Carmelo Anthony carries himself with the utmost confidence.
Without missing a beat, the New York Knicks superstar claimed himself a superior scorer than LeBron James and Stephen Curry on the Dan Patrick Show.
Anthony means no disrespect towards his peers. Anyone else would say the same. Totting that swagger is the only way to be on top.
"I always have that mindset. When it comes to being on that court I don't think anybody is better. That's my mindset," Anthony explained.
But for what it's worth, the stats paint a different picture. Anthony only led the league in scoring once, and topped out at 28.9 points per game. James has topped that mark three times, while Curry led the league with 30.1 points per game this season.
And as for shooting efficiency, it's not particularly close. Anthony's career true-shooting percentage hovers around the league average at 54.5, while James (58.1), and Curry (61.5) are miles ahead.
