The Brooklyn Nets will hire Jacque Vaughn to serve as the team's lead assistant coach, The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reports, citing league sources.
Vaughn served as head coach for the Orlando Magic from 2012-15, going just 58-158 over three seasons. He spent this season as a pro personnel director for the San Antonio Spurs, working closely with Nets general manager Sean Marks during his brief tenure.
After going just 21-61 in 2015-16, the Nets have worked quickly to revamp their coaching staff, hiring Atlanta Hawks assistant Kenny Atkinson to fill their head coaching vacancy earlier this month.
