One miracle is all the Toronto Raptors were afforded by the basketball gods on Tuesday night in Game 1, with Miami Heat All-Star guard Dwyane Wade extinguishing all hope in the 6ix in the dying seconds of overtime.
With 10 seconds remaining on the clock, the Raptors had an opportunity to tie the score at 99. However, DeMar DeRozan fumbled the basketball, with Wade picking up the pieces, running down the floor, and laying it in while getting fouled.
Miami now takes a 1-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 102-96 road win. Wade finished with 24 points, six rebounds, and four assists in 36 minutes of action. He also passed Elgin Baylor for 16th on the NBA's all-time playoff scoring list.
