The personal accolades continue to pile up for Stephen Curry, and his Golden State Warriors teammates couldn't be happier.

Curry was named the first unanimous MVP in NBA history on Tuesday and was flooded with congratulatory messages from his peers.

Curry received all 131 first-place votes, capping off a remarkable regular season in which his Warriors won an NBA record 73 games while Curry also led the league in scoring.

"It's been a magical year, and he's been at the center of it all," head coach Steve Kerr said of Curry.

"I'm surprised," Kerr added. "I couldn't imagine anybody not voting him first, but there always seems to be somebody who has to stand out."
