Riley refers to Bosh's health as 'X-factor'
Miami Heat president Pat Riley said Wednesday that the team and Chris Bosh are "in this together."
While the longtime executive said at his season-ending media conference that the goal remains to get Bosh back into action, there were no firm assurances.
"It's an X-factor when it comes to everything we plan on doing this summer," Riley said, according to the Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman. "We are very encouraged by trying to find a way over the next two or three months to find a protocol and program that will get him back playing. That's always been our objective. We're in this together."

On Monday, a report indicated that the Heat are gravely concerned that medical staff will never clear Bosh to play again. The 32-year-old big man has been sidelined for the second half of two straight seasons now due to blood clots. While Riley did not directly address that report, he said that any decision to return Bosh to the court will be one that the Heat need to be fully behind.
"We approach this in a way where we can get Chris back out on the court," Riley said. "That's his desire. That would be our desire. But it's going to have to be done in a way that we all feel good about."
Stories circulated late in the season of Bosh and the Heat butting heads over the 13-year NBA veteran's desire to return to action. In April, his wife posted a series of Tweets alongside the hash tag " #BringBoshBack." Then, after the playoffs had already started, the Heat announced Bosh was out for the season.
"We're not in any time frame right now," Riley said Wednesday. "You can't put that kind of a time frame on it. We are on a day-to-day proceeding of this thing. That's where we are."
