Raptors' Casey fined for criticizing refs
Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey has been fined $25,000 for publicly criticizing the officiating after Saturday's Game 3 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Casey, normally one to bite his tongue with respect to matters of officiating, made several ref-related comments during his postgame media conference, even when responding to questions that had nothing to do with the game's officiating.
Specifically, Casey referenced the fact that the Raptors didn't shoot any free throws during Saturday's fourth quarter, that center Bismack Biyombo often gets fouled, to no avail, while rebounding the ball, and that the Cavs own an 86-51 free-throw advantage through three games of the Eastern Conference finals.

Casey did compliment NBA officiating as a whole, and added that he understands the difficulty of officiating the game, but likely sealed his fate of being hit with a fine when he noted that some of the calls thus far have been "unbelievable."
