Draymond records historically bad plus-minus
All-Star forward Draymond Green and the rest of his Golden State Warriors teammates won't look back very fondly on their performance in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals on Sunday.
In 31 minutes, Green racked up more combined turnovers and personal fouls (seven) than points as Golden State got blown out 133-105 on the road. He connected on just one of his nine field goal attempts, missed both of his shots from behind the arc, and chipped in four rebounds and three assists.
His most startling statistic, though, came in the plus-minus department. His previous career low was minus-20, but Green blew that out of the water Sunday night with an atrocious minus-43 - the worst rating of any player in a postseason game since 1997.
The plus-minus rating represents how much a team either outscores the opponent or is outscored when a specific player is on the floor. The Splash Brothers weren't far off from breaking the record themselves: Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry earned a minus-39, while Klay Thompson barely fell short of Green with a minus-41.
