Curry told Durant 'this is what we play for' after Game 7
After exchanging blows during an epic seven-game series, All-Star heavyweights Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant had nothing but admiration for one another when the final bell rang.
Curry's Golden State Warriors became the 10th team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 deficit and win a series after their 96-88 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday. As the celebration began at Oracle Arena, the team's two superstars shared a special moment at center court.
"This is what it's all about," Curry told reporters of what he said to Durant. "This is what we play for. Those battles, those moments people will remember for a long time."
Curry averaged 27.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in the seven-game series, while Durant posted 30 points, eight rebounds, and 2.9 assists.
