Matthew Dellavedova, a backup point guard on the Cleveland Cavaliers, is getting his own signature shoe.

Peak, a Chinese footwear and apparel company, approached Dellavedova almost two years ago with the idea of releasing a basketball shoe for the Australian market. That's led to the creation of Delly 1s, a low-cut shoe that's primed to hit the market on July 1.

In most cases, signature shoe designs are only offered to big-name stars. For example, Nike has LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant. Under Armour made a sneaker for Stephen Curry. Adidas has James Harden and Derrick Rose. Even smaller apparel brand like Li-Ning (Dwyane Wade), and ANTA (Klay Thompson) tend to only offer signature shoes to prominent players.
