Green addresses latest kick: 'Bodies react a certain type of way'
Draymond Green's legs continue to flail their way into the basketball world's consciousness, but the All-NBA big man maintains his innocence.
Green's latest leg-related antics saw him nearly kick Kyrie Irving in the face while seemingly trying to embellish and draw a foul on Irving during Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
When Green was asked about the incident - and whether he's trying to tone his actions down amid scrutiny - after the game, the Warriors All-Star seemed surprised by the line of questioning.
"You think I tried to kick Kyrie?" Green asked. "If I was aware of something, I wouldn't do it. But basketball is basketball, and bodies react a certain type of way. I don't really mind any scrutiny. It doesn't bother me."
Green is one flagrant foul away from an automatic suspension due to his accumulation of flagrant points during the playoffs. He was one of the best players on the court Thursday, pouring in 16 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and a block in 40 minutes of action.
