Mayweather cashes in on Warriors' playoff success
As long as the Golden State Warriors continue to thrive in the NBA playoffs, Floyd "Money" Mayweather will continue raking in the dough.
The now-retired boxer took to Instagram on Friday to show off his winnings stemming from bets he made on the defending champions.
His first came from the Warriors forcing a Game 7 in the Western Conference finals by taking Game 6 at Chesapeake Energy Arena against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Mayweather threw down $170,000 and walked away with $221,000.
His next payday came during the opening half of Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, betting $70,000 on the Warriors going into halftime with the lead, which they ultimately did (52-43).
As a result, Mayweather earned himself another $63,636.36.
