After watching their main competitor ink multiple deals with prospects earlier in the week, Adidas has ramped up its efforts to land big-time players as well leading into the draft.
Adidas has reached an endorsement deal with top-5 prospect Jaylen Brown, Chris Haynes of cleveland.com reports, citing league sources.
A 6-foot-6 forward, Brown averaged 14.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and two assists as a freshman at California. The 19-year-old is the fifth-ranked prospect, according to DraftExpress, but a number of mock drafts have him slipping to the Denver Nuggets with the No. 7 pick.
Nike has already inked top prospect Ben Simmons to a five-year deal and has reportedly agreed to a multi-year deal with Buddy Hield.
