Nuggets' Juan Hernangomez: Selected No. 15 overall by Nuggets
Hernangomez was selected by the Nuggets with the 15th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Analysis:
Hernangomez is considered a stretch four, as he can score at the rim, while he also has a well-established jump shot. He's viewed as more of a spot-up shooter and doesn't usually put up shots off the dribble, but Hernangomez is still very strong offensively and can score in a variety of ways. While he lacks top-flight athleticism, Hernangomez is more than capable of running the floor in transition. Hernangomez does have questions about his defense, and stronger NBA power forwards will likely provide an obstacle for him, so an adjustment period on defense. He'll likely be eased into a reserve role with the Nuggets in his first season, assuming he agrees to sign with the team right away.
