Report: Hawks, Bazemore agree to 4-year, $70M deal
The Atlanta Hawks agreed to a four-year, $70-million deal with Kent Bazemore, sources told ESPN's Brian Windhorst. Bazemore - who turned 27 on Friday - will have a player option on the fourth year of his contract, The Vertical's Shams Charania reports, citing sources.
The 6-foot-5 wing declined four-year, $72-million offers from both the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers, a source told TNT's David Aldridge.
Bazemore played well in his first season as the Hawks' starting small forward, averaging 11.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals on 44.1 percent shooting in 2015-16.
With Bazemore re-signed to a long-term deal and Dwight Howard reportedly agreeing to a three-year, $70.5-million contract earlier Friday, the Hawks now appear prepared to let Al Horford walk this summer.
