Brady's pitch to Durant: Boston is special
Touchdown Tom is leading yet another drive for the city of Boston.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady crashed the Boston Celtics' meeting with generational free agent Kevin Durant on Saturday to share his experiences with Boston.
Brady, perhaps the most beloved Beantown figure since Larry Bird retired, sold the idea that playing in Boston is special.

Without a star on the roster, Celtics brought in Brady (and also hoped to bring in David Ortiz, who couldn't attend the meeting) to help make an impression. Durant has long been a fan of Brady, who turned out to be a natural salesman.

The Celtics further boosted their chances of landing Durant by signing star free agent Al Horford shortly after their meeting.
