Report: Kings to rescind Seth Curry's qualifying offer, make him UFA

The Sacramento Kings plan to rescind the qualifying offer on guard Seth Curry, thus making him an unrestricted free agent, sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Sacramento extended the offer Wednesday, making Curry a restricted free agent and providing the organization the opportunity to match any offer sheets that come his way.

By annulling it, though, Curry can sign with any team he chooses on the open market.

The writing was on the wall when the team reportedly agreed to terms on a three-year, $24-million contract with former Washington Wizards guard Garrett Temple on Sunday, presumably solidifying him as the backup for projected starter Darren Collison next season.

In 44 appearances last season, Curry averaged 6.8 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 45 percent from 3-point range.
