The New York Knicks continued their offseason makeover Monday, agreeing to a one-year, $5-million deal with veteran point guard Brandon Jennings.
"Can't wait to play in the Mecca!!" Jennings tweeted. "Excited to be joining such a historic franchise."
Jennings split last season with the Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic, averaging 6.9 points on 36.8 percent shooting, 3.5 assists, and two rebounds in 38 games.
The 26-year-old has battled injury problems over the past two seasons, missing 75 games after rupturing his left Achilles tendon in January 2015.
Adding Jennings gives the Knicks additional depth behind Derrick Rose, who was acquired earlier this summer in a trade from the Chicago Bulls.
