The Charlotte Hornets agreed to terms of a deal with free-agent center Roy Hibbert.
The reported term is a one-year contract for $5 million.
The Hornets lost starting center Al Jefferson to the Indiana Pacers in free agency and have reportedly been eyeing the eight-year veteran Hibbert. The 29-year-old struggled in his lone season with the Los Angeles Lakers, but remains a serviceable rim protector. He averaged 5.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in 23.2 minutes per game.
