The Orlando Magic traded point guard Shabazz Napier to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Portland will send back future cash considerations.
Napier struggled mightily in his two seasons to date. He was traded by the Miami Heat a season after being selected with the 24th pick in 2014, and even with a prime opportunity to seize more minutes in a weakened Magic backcourt, Napier still found himself stapled to the bench.
A lack of size has proven to be Napier's Achilles' heel. The 6-foot-1 guard is too small to defend, and he struggles to get off a clean shot. He holds career averages of 4.4 points and 2.1 assists in 15.2 minutes per game while shooting 36 percent from the floor.
