With an excessive amount of adrenaline seemingly flowing through his body after hitting a game-winning 3-point shot, Los Angeles Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell did not remember to use TV-safe language in a postgame interview with ESPN's J.A. Adande.
"I played like shit," Russell said when asked to describe the final play of Saturday's summer league game against the Philadelphia 76ers. "I played terrible. My teammates got me through this."
Russell led all scorers with 22 points, although he did turn the ball over on six occasions.
Nonetheless, it was his dagger with 1.8 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter that gave his Lakers a 70-69 win to push their record to 2-0.
