Watch: Cavs fans thank LeBron for returning, bringing Cleveland title
LeBron James can now do no wrong in the eyes of Cleveland fans after helping bring the Cavaliers franchise an NBA championship and ending the city's 52-year title drought.
The King went from hometown hero to despised villain and back to the Chosen One in a matter of four years after his infamous "Decision" sent him to South Beach for that time span.
But James returned, and by doing so, the four-time league MVP erased the stigma surrounding Cleveland that the city was forever doomed to remain in championship purgatory.
Jerseys with James' name embroidered on the back are no longer being burned to a crisp. Instead, they're being worn with pride by Cleveland sports fans, with some thanking - and forgiving - No. 23 in a video developed by Sports Illustrated.
