Free-agent forward Terrence Jones has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.
Financial terms aren't known.
Jones, a 6-foot-9 power forward out of Kentucky, regressed last season in a diminished role for the Houston Rockets, averaging his fewest points (8.7), rebounds (4.2), and blocks (0.8) since his first full NBA season.
Drafted in the first round in 2012, Jones became an unrestricted free agent earlier this month after failing to receive a qualifying offer from the Rockets following four injury-plagued seasons with the team. He appeared in 50 games last year, and made just 11 starts.
