Hornets' Mike Tobey: Signs contract with Hornets
Tobey signed a contract with the Hornets on Monday.
Analysis:
The terms of the deal haven't been disclosed, but it's likely just a training camp invite with partially guaranteed money. Tobey played his collegiate ball at Virginia, but went undrafted this past June. He latched on with the Hornets' Orlando Summer League team and ended up playing in five games, averaging 10.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. The seven-foot center will need a strong showing in training camp to make the final roster, although it's supremely unlikely he'll earn a spot with the Hornets.
