Durant's Warriors jersey highest selling in 30 states, including Oklahoma
Golden State Warriors jerseys with Kevin Durant's name on the back are a hot commodity in the month of July, despite him seemingly becoming a villain overnight by signing with the 73-win squad.
The four-time scoring champion's new jersey sold more than any other player's in the month of the July according to sales figures on Fanatics, reports ESPN's Darren Rovell.
Perhaps surprisingly, Durant's departure wasn't enough to turn away Thunder fans, as Oklahoma was one of the 30 states which went out in droves to purchase his fresh gear.
Rovell adds that Durant sold more jerseys in his first week as a member of the Warriors (July 7-14) than LeBron James did in his first week when he returned home to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
If basketball fanatics can't find Durant's Warriors jersey at a reasonable price, perhaps they'd consider saving a few bucks and purchasing his Thunder uniform, as one OKC retail outlet had them on sale for a measly 48 cents.
