Stephen Jackson: I will be back in the NBA next season
It appears Stephen Jackson will be making his NBA comeback after all.
The 38-year-old swingman posted a video on Instagram Thursday, letting fans know that he is medically cleared to play, and will be making his return to the league in 2016-17.
Jackson has been vocal about his desire to play professional basketball again, with a particular interest in suiting up for the Golden State Warriors. The 17-year veteran told Rachel Nichols of ESPN in July that he had received an invite to the Warriors camp, but Golden State later denied the report.
Jackson said he couldn't specify which team he was signing with, but told fans that an announcement would be made in the coming days.
Jackson has spent time with the Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Bobcats, Atlanta Hawks, New Jersey Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers during his professional career, averaging 15.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 858 games.
