Watching an athlete break his leg in the manner French gymnast Samir Ait Said did Saturday is gruesome for anyone to witness, but particularly for a fellow athlete like Paul George, who knows the pain all too well.
Two years removed from a grotesque leg injury of his own, and coming off arguably the best season of his career, George sent the French Olympian an inspirational tweet.
"I feel for you brother," George wrote. "You'll be in my prayers! You'll come back stronger from this trust me I know! #GodBlessSamir"
George scored 15 points in his Olympic debut Saturday, as the Americans crushed China, 119-62.
