Report: Cavs to host championship rematch with Warriors on Christmas
Kelley L Cox / USA TODAY Sports
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors will reprise the last two NBA Finals clashes when they meet at Quicken Loans Arena on Christmas Day, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.
The two teams also met on Christmas last year, with Golden State hosting and winning 89-83. The Warriors were defending champs at the time. For this meeting, the Cavs will hold that distinction, thanks to their unprecedented finals comeback from down 3-1 that culminated in an incredible Game 7 win on the Warriors' floor.
Of course, this time around, the Warriors will also have Kevin Durant in tow, adding that much more star power to what was already a ridiculously star-studded affair.
Merry Christmas, indeed.
