Watch: Nick Young 'would do the same thing' as Kaepernick
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick isn't alone on an island as some may believe stemming from his recent protestations.
Kaepernick has garnered a great deal of heat after refusing to stand during the national anthem prior to games as a protest to a country he believes "oppresses black people."
Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers, though, is on board with the Bay Area gunslinger's stance.
"I think it's great," Young told TMZ.com. "I would do the same thing, man. My knees hurt, but I might sit."

Kaepernick stated he'll donate $1 million to charities supporting racial equality, which Young applauds him for doing.
"He's doing big things, man. I respect everything that he's doing," Young added.
